Starz off to hot start in 2012 with 14-4-2 record and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th place finishes in four fall tournaments

Crazy finish ends a perfect weekend at Stoney Run

Starz start 2011-12 with an 8-3 record and a second place finish at Stoney Run October 23, 2011. The Starz fell short in a furious comeback effort in the championship game falling 6-5.

WELCOME BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON: Arianna, Ashton, Emma, Hayley, Kailey, Kieran and Olivia!

The 12U Starz continue to be one of the the east coasts finest travel teams. We are currently ranked in the top 10 teams in the state of Virginia both in Softball Nation and NSA.

We don't recruit, we build and develop talent and character in our young ladies and take pride in doing things the right way.

Our coaches and players have high expectations and work hard in a positive environment to strive for excellence.

Starz Win 2011 Queen Bee Showdown

The 12U Starz went 5-0 winning the Championship game in an exciting 2-1, 8 inning thriller. This is the Starz 4th consecutive Queen Bee Showdown championship. The Queen Bee was our final tournament of the 2010-2011 season. Thanks for all your hard work, ladies!! Best of luck to our girls moving up!

Back to Back to Back to Back Champions

Starz finish 5th in Softball Nation National Championships and follow up with 2nd place finish in Busch Gardens Williamsburg Classic

The over 100 degree days, five games in a day and injuries finally caught up with our Williamsburg Starz. We lost two close games (1-0 and 9-7) to the eventual Softball Nation National Champions in Virginia Beach, July 21, 22 and 23rd. The hot temperatures and injury bug continued August 6, 7th as we fell short of defending our 2010 tournament win dropping a close game in the Championship contest. Both of these events solidified our team and commitment to each other as we battled the heat and the injury bug together.

BACK TO BACK TO BACK HEAT OF THE SUMMER CHAMPIONS

Starz Defend Heat of Summer Championship while outscoring opponents 17-0 on Championship Sunday. The Starz have dominated the Heat of the Summer winning the championships three years in a row. (June 25/26, 2011)

12u Starz start 2011 fast, winning the NSA Virginia Cup Championship, April, 16/17 in Richmond VA

The 12u Starz McClure team got off to a fast start in 2011 with five wins in a row on our way to a Virginia Cup Championship on April 16/17, 2011. The Starz gave up only five runs over the six games of the tournament as strong pitching and defense were combined with great hitting and base running. Seven players batted over 400 for the weekend in this total team effort.

It's about teaching the game, not just what to do..... but why to do it. When you teach the game the students become teachers. In January of 2011 Starz alumni playing at various colleges across the east coast came home to pass on their knowledge.
